Ohio Wesleyan was buzzing over the last week, with author Ben Hewitt and world-renowned Nutrition expert Dr. Walter Willett visiting campus to talk about their areas of expertise relative to food as a part of the Bite! series. Last week was a big one for Bite! as we had three fantastic events. In case you missed either Dr. Abram Kaplan or Avesta Saaty, both have been archived in our Archived Bite! Lectures page. Ben Hewitt’s lecture from Friday should be available verysoon. Hope to see you at our final two events – Dr. Walter Willett on Tuesday November 6th at 3pm, and Dr. Fabio Parasecoli on Wednesday November 13th at 7pm.

So much so, in fact, that each recipe comes with a soundtrack that suits the aesthetic of the food and its origins. We had the pleasure of hearing about Cuba’s urban garden movement on Wednesday afternoon in Philips Hall, as Dr. Sinan Koont visited OWU and spoke about his work in this area. There are many fascinating things about the movement, not the least of which are the array of factors that needed to be in place for the movement to enjoy the success that it has.
