Hello hello hello! I hope everyone is ready for another exciting year at OWU! Get ready for another bout of tribulations and challenges, upheavals, successes, outstanding accomplishments and enormous individual growth. This year holds so much potential that it is practically tangible in the not-quite-so-hot Delaware weather.
Field Hockey preseason is over and, though our team may be small in number, we more than make up for it with some of the most dedicated young women you will ever encounter. Each player is prepared to give it her all this season and it will be a riveting journey indeed.
For all of those new to campus, welcome! Don’t worry, assimilating to the class schedule will be much easier than you might think. And if you get lost, ask any upperclassman. ANY SINGLE ONE. They will point you in the right direction. And, of course, if any questions, concerns, observations, or curiosities get the better of you, please feel free to shoot them my way. I’m more than happy to help you out.
And for those who once walked among us and have since moved on to bigger and better places, we will miss you tremendously and hope that you will find the time to stop in to see your Alma Mater. Your influence has helped this institution grow into the fantastic place we now attend.
In conclusion, get ready for a new year. There will be new experiences around every corner and you will be a different person by the end of it. Check out the beautiful renovations in the Hamilton Williams Center (Hamwil) and be nice to public safety officers. Dive into your classes and smile at random people on the Jay. Introduce yourselves to the professors and call home when you get the chance. I’ll be checking in again soon!
