Mobile Scanning @ the Libraries

We are excited to introduce a new scanning option for OWU students – mobile scanning!

What You’ll Need:

1. A smart phone or tablet.

Don’t have one? The Circulation Desk at Beeghly will soon have 3 iPads for you to check out.

2. One of these FREE apps:

Droid Apps:        1) Genius Scan     2) Google Drive

Apple Apps:       1) Genius Scan     2) DocScan HD

These free apps will allow you to scan documents, books, white boards and more. You can freely send your scans to email, which you can later print if you like. It’s a great alternative if you don’t want to wait in line at our printers or just don’t want to get up from studying.

To help get you started, Beeghly has set up a Mobile Scanning Station in the Info Commons area. The station comes equipped with scanning tips and instructions for multi-page scans, a desk light for better scans and pictures, as well as a weighted bookmark to help keep book pages open.  Stop by any time to check it out on your own or on email to schedule a tutorial.

Once you know how, you’ll be able to scan from anywhere on campus with your device.
